Latham West and Ella Koch after the 4A girls 1600m final at the 2026 WIAA State Track and Field Championships, Mt. Tahoma

The 2026 WIAA State Track & Field Championships wrapped at Mt. Tahoma on May 28–30 — three days where Washington's 2A, 3A, and 4A classifications converged for the deepest distance racing of the year. Eleven meet records fell across the 1600m, 800m, and 3200m finals.

I worked the infield providing independent, comprehensive coverage for WestcoastXC and Dyestat — the podiums, the records, and the wreckage. As credentialed media, all state meet photography is strictly for editorial reporting and is not available for retail sale.
