The Proving Ground
On May 2nd, Sparks Stadium hosts the 2026 South Sound Classic, one of the deepest invitationals on the West Coast. Known for its massive fields and fast times, this is the definitive mid-season test for athletes hunting qualifying marks.
Russell Moore Photography will be trackside capturing the chaos, from the crowded distance packs to the explosive sprints. This is where the contenders separate themselves from the field.

Sparks Stadium Intel
Covered Stands
The defining feature of Sparks Stadium. The massive covered grandstand protects spectators from the rain, making it a loud, weatherproof environment.
Pacing Lights & Track
The surface at Sparks is known for being hard and fast. Pending WIAA approval, pacing lights will be active for the distance events. Expect massive PRs.
Parking
Ample space in the Puyallup Red Lot. Most spectators also park at the Washington State Fairgrounds nearby or on surrounding streets (watch for signs).
Hardware & Fuel
Food trucks, desserts, and concessions on site. Hardware upgrade: Championship Belts for AOM, custom souvenir batons for teams, and medals for the Top-5 finishers.
