OVERVIEW Russell Moore Photography ("RMP," "I," "me") respects your privacy. This policy describes how I collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you visit russell-moore.com (the "Site"), book my photography services, or receive deliverables from me.
INFORMATION I COLLECT I collect information you provide directly to me, including:
Identity Data: Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
Transaction Data: Details about payments and services purchased (e.g., The Wire). All payments are processed securely via HoneyBook (powered by Stripe). I do not store credit card numbers.
Visual Data: Photographs and video footage I capture during contracted shoots, events, or sessions.
Automatically Collected Data: Basic analytics data when you browse the Site (e.g., pages visited, browser type, approximate location derived from IP address), collected via Squarespace and Google tools.
HOW I USE YOUR DATA I use your data to:
Deliver the photography services and digital products you requested.
Process payments and send receipts (via HoneyBook).
Deliver your photo galleries (via ShootProof).
Communicate regarding scheduling, weather delays, gallery delivery, or project updates.
Send marketing or promotional emails only if you have opted in. You may unsubscribe at any time.
I do not sell your personal information.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES I operate using a suite of secure third-party tools. Your data may be processed by:
Squarespace: Website hosting and analytics.
HoneyBook: Booking, scheduling, contracts, invoicing, and client communication.
Stripe: Payment processing (payments made through HoneyBook are processed by Stripe).
Google: Email, calendar, and analytics.
ShootProof: Photo gallery hosting and delivery.
Each provider maintains its own privacy policy and security standards, and I encourage you to review them. I share only the minimum data each service needs to perform its function.
MEDIA USAGE & RIGHTS Photographs I take may be used for my portfolio, marketing, and social media (@russellmoore_photography) in accordance with the model release or contract signed at booking. If no release was signed, public use of identifiable images is limited to portfolio display unless you consent otherwise. To opt out of public display of your images at any time, contact me using the details in Section 10 and I will honor your request going forward.
COOKIES AND ANALYTICS The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality and analytics. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though some Site features may not function correctly.
DATA RETENTION I retain your information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law (e.g., tax and accounting records). Galleries are hosted on ShootProof for a defined delivery window communicated at booking; after that window, galleries may be removed from active hosting and archived. Contact me if you need access to archived work.
DATA SECURITY I use commercially reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted payment processing through HoneyBook and access controls on gallery delivery, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.
YOUR RIGHTS Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. Washington residents may have additional rights under applicable state law. To exercise any of these rights, contact me using the details below. I will respond within a reasonable timeframe and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY My services are not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Sessions involving minors are booked and managed by a parent or legal guardian, whose consent (via the booking contract or model release) covers the minor's participation.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY I may update this policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the most recent revision, and continued use of the Site or my services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
