The 2026 West Central District 3 / SWD 4 Championships is the most intense meet of the year. There are no medals for times here—only for placement. Athletes from the 4A and 3A classifications battle for the coveted allocations to the State Championship.
Russell Moore Photography will be on-site capturing the raw emotion of the "Golden Ticket" moments—the joy of qualifying and the heartbreak of the 9th place finish.

Grandstands
The iconic covered grandstands at French Field provide shelter and trap sound, creating an intense, echo-chamber atmosphere during championship finals.
The Surface
A well-maintained, high-grip track. Weather conditions in late May can be unpredictable, so be prepared for both blazing heat or classic Washington rain.
Parking & Logistics
Parking at Kent Meridian can fill up fast during districts. Arrive early or prepare to use designated overflow lots in the surrounding areas.
The Stakes
Top allocations advance. Everything is on the line. Expect high drama, false starts from nerves, and desperate diving finishes at the line.
