I’m Russell (he/they). I photograph cross-country and track across Washington, senior portraits across the South Sound, and the people behind Pacific Northwest businesses. I'm WIAA-credentialed, published at DyeStat and WestcoastXC, SafeSport certified, and insured to $1M.

The Data Difference

Before shooting professionally, I managed high-volume automotive e-commerce, growing a YouTube channel from zero to over 400,000 subscribers. That’s where I learned how search engines read images, and why most business photography is invisible to them. I'm GA4-certified, and I write IPTC metadata, keywords, and geo-data into every file I deliver. It's not a gimmick. It's the difference between a photo that sits on a server and one that shows up when someone searches your name.

What I Shoot

• Sports: Cross-country and track, from local meets to Nike Cross Nationals. Solo coverage, full galleries in 48 hours, files licensed for recruiting and NIL.
• Seniors: Portraits that don't feel like a hostage situation. Guided the whole way, full gallery included.
• Commercial: Documentary photography of real operations delivered with the metadata and schema that make the images rank.
• The Field Report: A one-day, on-site visibility diagnostic for organizations.

What I Care About

Every athlete deserves a photo worth keeping—not just the winners. I shoot the back of the pack, the wheelchair and ambulatory races, the moments most cameras walk past. And good photography shouldn't depend on your budget: I keep a pay-what-you-can rate open for athletes, families, and community organizations who need it.

I'm also ruthless about the edit. If a frame doesn't show you at your best, you never see it.

Off the Clock

I've run 50-mile ultras, which means I know exactly what mile 40 feels like—and exactly where to stand when your race is decided. Happiest somewhere muddy in the Pacific Northwest.
