The Origin Story
Metal Gear Solid is my favorite video game of all time. Back in high school, I would spend entire nights wide awake, navigating level by level, obsessing over every detail. At the time, MGS wasn't just a game; it was revolutionary. It was theater. Your goal was stealth, the narrative was a complex Cold War-era thriller, and at the end of the day, you were a lone operative facing down a giant bot.
That aesthetic stuck with me. Ashley Wood, who illustrated many of the MGS comic books, remains one of my favorite artists. Somewhere down the line, my love for tactical gear, robots, stealth mechanics, and the "Codec" interface became a core part of my visual identity.
The Aesthetic of Action
I’ve always been drawn to the beauty of simple, organized files and purposeful actions. There is something hypnotic about a blinking indicator in a dark room signaling for attention, or a lone blip on a radar guiding you to safety.
These elements—the tension and the precision of Metal Gear—are woven into the very fabric of my digital home.
Boldness as a Business Model
Most photographers opt for soft, welcoming, "airy" websites. It’s the status quo. But I’ve always felt that if I can’t be my genuine self as a creative, am I even a creative?
My goal is to ensure that bold titles, strong language, and inclusivity all interact seamlessly. I straddle a line that many wouldn’t dare to walk, and I’m fine with that. I believe in being different, provided it’s rooted in who you truly are. My business model is built on authenticity. I don’t do fake.
