When I was asked if I could cover a Unified Basketball Game, I jumped at the chance. I was already in the middle of a whirlwind two-week span, covering sports across Olympia and Seattle, and adding another layer to an already overwhelming schedule seemed crazy. I needed a break—and my camera definitely needed a break—but there was no chance I was turning this down.
