Caden Durocher - Olympia High School Senior earns his spot at the State Championship in Pasco

Mud-splattered but determined, Olympia's Caden Durocher crosses the finish line, earning his ticket to the State Championship.

Despite brutal weather with heavy rain and wind at Chambers Bay, our local high school runners showed incredible grit. Both the Pope John Paul II High School boys and girls teams swept their divisions to clinch state championship berths. The Olympia High School girls team also secured their spot at State with a fantastic second-place finish, and two runners from the Olympia boys team qualified individually.
