Quick answer: Any Washington high school athlete can claim a free verified recruiting profile page — a public URL that shows your personal records, coach contact information, GPA, and a competition photo if I have one on file. There's no cost, no catch, and no obligation. You submit the form, the profile builds automatically, and you get a link you can share anywhere.‍ ‍

Why this exists‍ ‍

For the past several months I've been publishing individual athlete features under my Year in Review series — and quietly building profile pages alongside them. If you've seen an "Athlete Profile: [Name]" story on Instagram and wondered what it was or whether you could get one, this post is the answer.‍ ‍

The short version: yes, it's open. Yes, it's free. Yes, you can submit.

What the profile includes‍ ‍

Every free profile contains:

  • Your name, school, graduation year, and events

  • Up to three personal records (event, mark, meet, date)

  • GPA and NCAA eligibility status

  • A short bio in your own words

  • Your head coach's name and contact — so recruiters can reach the right person without hunting

  • A parent/guardian contact for recruiting correspondence

  • A competition photo, if I have one from a race I've covered

Profiles live at recruiting.russell-moore.com and are indexed by search engines — meaning your name, school, and marks are findable by anyone looking, including college coaches running basic searches

How it works‍ ‍

  1. Submit the form below. It takes about five minutes. You'll need your personal records in the format shown, your coach's email, and a parent or guardian contact.

  2. The profile builds automatically. Once submitted, the page is created and goes live on the recruiting subdomain. No waiting on a callback.

  3. You get your URL. Share it in your coach's recruiting packet, your email signature, on your school's athletic page — anywhere you want coaches to find verified information about you.

If I have a competition photo of you from a race I've covered (WIAA State, Brooks PR Invitational, or any event in the South Sound), I'll add it. If I don't, the profile still goes live — photo or not.‍

Who this is for‍ ‍

This program is built for Washington high school athletes in any sport, any event, any classification. I cover distance running and XC heavily, so those athletes are most likely to already have a photo in my library — but the form and the profile system are open to any WA high schooler who wants one.‍ ‍

Outside Washington? I won't turn anyone away.

What this is not‍ ‍

To be direct about what this isn't:

‍ ‍It is not a guarantee of recruiting attention

  • It is not connected to any sponsorship or commercial arrangement

  • It is not a replacement for your school's athletic department or your coach's recruiting process

  • It is not a paid service

It is a public directory profile — a clean, indexed page with your verified information that makes it easier for coaches to find and contact you and your coach through legitimate channels.

FAQ

Is this really free?

Yes. There is no cost to submit or to have a profile page.

Do I need to provide a photo?

No. If I have a competition photo of you in my library, I'll add it. If not, your profile goes live without one.

How long does it take for my profile to go live?

The profile builds automatically after you submit the form. It typically goes live within 24–48 hours.

Can my coach or parent submit on my behalf?

The form asks for your information, but a parent or coach can fill it out alongside you. A parent/guardian email is required for verification before the profile goes live.

Will college coaches actually find this?

The profiles are indexed by search engines. A coach searching your name, school, or event in WA has a reasonable chance of finding it. That said, this is a tool — it works best as part of a broader recruiting effort that includes reaching out to programs directly.

What if my PR improves after my profile goes live?

Enhanced profile options include updatable performance records. The free profile reflects what you submit at intake.
